Seaview, St Helen’s and Brading Haven RNLI Branch is finally hoping to resume activities after the enforced lay off on account of the pandemic. The restrictions have been particularly frustrating at the time when there has been a change of Chairmanship of the Branch.
We should reflect on the fantastic job that Adele Carritt did as Chairman over many years and remain grateful to her for her hard work and energy in getting the Branch to the strong position that it is now in.
However, the Branch is now chaired by Duncan and Helen Quinan. We can be contacted on 01983 617130 and would love to hear from anyone who has any thoughts or suggestions to assist us to raise money for the Bembridge lifeboat and the wider RNLI activities in the island.
Our first event is a Coffee morning on Wednesday 4th August starting at 10:30. It will be held at Seaway, Bluett Avenue, Seaview. Entrance tickets cost £4 and can be obtained from Bookworm in Seaview or on the door. Apart from tea, coffee and cold drinks, there will be a raffle and RNLI souvenirs, cakes and produce stalls. We do hope that you will come and join us.
Looking further ahead, we will be at the Seaview Regatta on Thursday 19 August with our traditional RNLI souvenir stall. On Thursday 14 October 2021, we will hold a lunch at the Northbank Hotel. Towards Christmas, we hope to bring you a Christmas Bazaar at the Sea View Yacht Club, though a date has not yet been finalised.
