May Services

We launched on Thursday 20th at 02:26 to assist a small angling vessel the “Cormorant” that had become unsure of its position as thick fog came down.

April Services

We were requested to launch to assist in the evacuation of a passenger from the Cruise Liner “Ventura” that was coming down the eastern Solent on passage to Gibraltar.

The Lifeboat with the Doctor onboard made best speed and rendezvoused in the vicinity of the North Sturbridge buoy.

March Services

We launch to assist Hayling Island ILB that had requested assistance with towing a 24ft yacht “Doxy” that was meeting adverse conditions in force 8-9 southerly winds south of Chichester.

The lifeboat made best speed and rendezvoused with Hayling and the casualty by the Dean Tail wreck buoy.

Scow on the Thames 2009

On June 12th, sibling trio Caroline Roe, William Maltby and Sophie Ross set out to row and sail down the navigable length of the Thames from Gloucestershire through Central London, the Thames Barrier and down to the Estuary in order to raise funds for Bembridge Lifeboat Station. They completed their journey on 19th June. To make it interesting, they used their scow.

The Bembridge crew and community need your help to raise £1M towards the cost of our lifeboat station and lifeboat. Your support will help save lives at sea.

The plan to provide both a new lifeboat and a new station fit for the 21st century, will cost approximately £10M. We are appealing to the public for £1M towards that cost - your donation, however large or small, will help us reach that goal.
