Bembridge RNLI's Inshore Lifeboat (RNLB Norman Harvey) was launched early this morning (Saturday 9th April) to help locate a person reported close to the edge of Culver Cliff.
RNLB Norman Harvey (D-778) was launched earlier this morning (4.50am) at the request of UK (Solent) Coastguard to assist Bembridge and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Teams and the Police locate a person who had been reported as being close to the edge of Culver Cliff. However, before they had proceeded very far, the news came from the Bembridge CRT that the casualty had been located, was safe and was with the Police. The incident was then closed and the Norman Harvey returned to Lane End and was recovered by 5.15am. Conditions were calm but cold and it was Dawn Hodge's first shout in charge.
