February Services 2012

We launched at 22:10 on a frosty old night after reports of a personal location beacon having been seen in the vinicity of the New Grounds bouy.

Arriving on scene we conducted a expanding square search and with the help of the "Arco Dee" found it not long after. The beacon looked like it had fallen off a ship or buoy.

On returning we were tasked to a small angling vessel about 1.3 miles NNE of our station, which was displaying no navigation light unless approached. The coastguards were concerned for its safety, after a vessel reported nearly running it down.

we offered some advice, and returned to station.
